The produce is absolutely amazing here!!! All of the fresh products are wonderful!!! I just wish there was more room to move around, this is a smaller location. Other than that, store is extremely clean and the staff is very pleasant ♥️

ALWAYS wonderful to visit! Consistently great produce, meat and seafood. Today they had raspberries for 1.99 for 6 ozs. and wonderful tomatoes for 1.49 lb. Got a hugh ruby red grapefruit for 1.64......# GO!!!

A friend recommended this store to us, and it turned out to be a great find with lots of fresh produce. The pre-cut fruit is very affordable, and we even bought a pink pineapple, which we had never seen before. It was delicious! The freshly made sandwiches are also very cheap and generously sized. They even have a substantial lobster roll and delicious baked chocolate croissants. The store is clean and well-organized, and the staff is very friendly. It’s an excellent supermarket!

Their meat selection is always fresh and high-quality – perfect for everything from quick weeknight meals to weekend BBQs. The produce section is equally impressive, with vibrant fruits and crisp vegetables that actually last more than a day or two at home (finally!). They’ve also got an amazing cheese and deli counter with an excellent variety of options – whether you’re building a charcuterie board or just grabbing a quick sandwich fix. And let’s talk about the desserts... wow. Everything is as delicious as it looks – rich, indulgent, and clearly made with real ingredients. don't want to miss their pie and Ice cream!! Above all, it's the little things that make Detwiler stand out – friendly staff, spotless aisles, and the kind of warm, local vibe that big chain stores just can’t replicate. Detwiler’s Farm Market in Sarasota, Florida is an absolute gem in Sarasota! The produce is always incredibly fresh, beautifully displayed, and locally sourced whenever possible. The smell alone will pull you in, and once you try one, you’ll wonder how you ever settled for store-bought. Just a few steps away, you’ll find fresh fruit being cut and offered as samples, with no pressure—sample as much as you’d like. It’s rare to taste such juicy, flavorful produce before you even buy it. There are samples everywhere: fresh-squeezed orange juice, blocks of cheese, unique fruits, and even a coffee bar that rivals most cafes. One of the most fascinating things to see is the pineapple machine—watch as it effortlessly removes the skin and core, turning a pineapple into a ready-to-eat delight in seconds. It’s mesmerizing. I’m coming around that’s it’s worth driving a few extra miles to shop at Detwilers! I’m cooking more at home and really appreciate the huge produce section and the quality. Same with meats and seafood. And the employees are both knowledgeable and friendly. The seafood I buy here is always high quality and so fresh. And the fish counter folks know exactly what they have available, where it’s from etc., and when something might be coming in. Shopping here makes me look forward to grocery shopping!

I love Detwilers❤️ very convenient location and they always have the best stuff! Everything from the bakery, the fresh produce, sushi, the deli, natural section, ice cream parlor etc, go above and beyond! Everything tastes so delicious, the place is always VERY clean, and the staff is always very kind! You will usually find everything you could need here & want! It’s also one of the few places that carry genuine cheese curds! And I love their mini key lime pie cups, sooo tasty! It is also very nice that they offer many free samples of all different kinds of food like their deli sandwiches, cheese, bulk treats, electrolyte drinks, bakery items and more 💕 10/10 I love this place and will be back many times over!
